St Clare's team member recognised at Brisbane Catholic Education (BCE) Excellence Awards

The St Clare's community is celebrating after Prep Teacher, Annie O'Connell, was awarded one of the two commendations given for The ACU Award for Excellence as an Early Career Teacher in Primary School at the BCE Excellence Awards event on Friday 16 August.

The awards recognise the excellent ways in which staff work to support and nurture the growth of students, including teaching, leading, and mentoring.

BCE received 379 nominations from across the organisation including 101 schools and offices.

Brisbane Catholic Education Executive Director Dr Sally Towns congratulated all the winners and nominees and thanked them for the work they have contributed to work together to enliven our vision at BCE.  “Every day at BCE we strive toward our vision of being a faith-filled learning community creating a better future,” she said. “We place Jesus Christ at the centre of all we do to work towards this vision in a myriad of ways. Our staff are integral in our work towards this vision. The Excellence Awards are a fantastic way to highlight the exemplary achievements of our people as well as
showcase the impactful and innovative programs, projects and scopes of work happening in our schools and office.”
